06' OEM Security System Option
Heads up on this option. I bought it because a large number of Diesels are being stolen out of SE Arizona and I wanted some added protection when I'm in Tucson.
The Key and the FOB infrared lock/unlock are one unit to include the panic alarm button built into the Key Head.
The truck comes with two programmed keys. I went to get a third key today and they're charging about $90 for the key blank plus a whopping $50 for the "programming".

Check your owners manual and see if the programing instructions are in there. I know they were for the 03, It just erks me that the dealer rips you off like that. Oh yeah by the way for those of you that have an 03-05 and the big grey key with the chip in it if you haven't already purchased another key and programed it you may want to ASAP. If you loose one of the 2 keys that you were given with the truck then you CANNOT program a 3rd key. Yo have to take it to a dealer to get it programed then. It requires 2 keys to program a 3rd key and so forth.
