Does anyone know if the Infinity system has been improved for 06 or is it the same as the earlier ones? Thanks!

 

Our Mega cabs system packs more punch than my cousin 05, they also changed the styling on the stereo in the new ones as well. Supposed to have better speakers too. But dont quote me!

 

My 06' has a built in equalizer.

 

My '99 had a built in EQ also....the infinity system itself hasnt changed much.

 

I'm still not pleased at the quality of the Infinity system in my new 06. The sound quality just isn't there, bass is lacking, and overall it sounds flat regardless of how I tune it. I have been reading up on the 'out of phase' issue but I'm not convinced that it applies to the 06's.

 

I think for the average Joe (like me) it sounds terrific. But if you're an audiophile I'm sure you'll find deficiencies. I think mine sounds really good.

 

I'm not happy with mine and I wouldn't consider myself an audiophile. I would say I'm average.

I find myself always wanting to turn up the volume but then it's too loud. I don't feel like I can be cruising (windows up) with the volume at a nice level where I can listen to a program without blasting it.

By the way what's the deal with the "Infiniti" panel in the front corner of the window? I thought it was a tweater like most other systems from the brochure, but it looks like it's just a dead panel!

I'm not impressed.
