'06 Driveline Vibrations?

I never had any until I had a u-joint go bad recently. Ever since the dealer removed the driveshaft to replace the u-joint, I have had a vibration on initial launch and occasionally under hwy acceleration. It seems ujoints are a pretty common failure item on these trucks, and may not have been redesigned..

Guys, unless they did serious mods on the 06 it is similar to my 03. The rear drive shaft was out of balance. All the 8 ujoints have been replaced. The front drive shaft centering ball in the CV section should be lubed with a dust shield. These trucks are prone to spring wrap on the rear which messes up ujoints quickly. The carrier bearing should be a heavy load solid rubber instead of the perforated unit. After all this which I did only as needed for maintenance, I still got a vibration....but I'm due for a tire rotation. When you rotate tires ....always check the balance. It is a truck and I figure will always have a little vibration. New shocks ...Bilsteins and I'm done. ks

New to the forum here. I have been a Ford guy my entire life and have gone through an 01' 7.3 and a 2003 F350 w/ 6.0. Both the Fords were great trucks but I decided to go with a Dodge. I just picked up a 2004.5 Laramie shortbed with the cummins 600. So far I am really happy with the truck. However, at 65-75 mph there is a resonation in the steering wheel and I can feel it through the gas pedal. Almost makes my hand and foot start to tingle. Is this the driveline vibration mentioned here? Has anyone had any luck yet with a fix?
Nonetheless, it is a sweet truck.
Thanks
Corey
