door vibrations

On washboard roads the top plastic pieces on my door panels vibrate/ rattle continually. My brother's do not. My dealer says there is nothing they can do. Has anyone else had this experience, and if so did you get a fix?

Keep taking it to the dealer and have them fix it. I hope it's still under warranty, correct? If so, they need to fix it.

Mine's doing similar things. Mostly during the 70-75mph vibe (which is really starting to pi$$ me off, BTW) but also some other times, I used to get a rattle in the driver door (sounds like the window to me though). Now it seems to have spread to the pssgr door as well. I'm pretty close to 5k mi, so I think I'll have the dealer do the first oil change and get all of this on record.

Let us know if you come up with a solution.

Neil

I took it into the dealer in December, and they added some foam strips underneath and told me to bring it back if it persisted. That stopped it until I started travelling on a particular road this summer. My brother travelled the same road with the same type truck, and his doors are perfect. So, I took it in and told them the problem was back. This was their response-" Roadtested on very rough roads. Noise due to doors moving on body. No adjustment available." The same guys told me that the howl in the rearend of my truck was gears that had to breakin. When I took it to another dealer the mechanic told me I needed a new gear set, they changed it and the problem was solved. I will take it to the other dealer if I have a day off some day. The thing is, the other dealer is not close to where I live. I bought my truck close to where I live partly because I thought it would be convenient. The dealer I bought it from wants to have good customer relationships so they can keep their "5 star rating". Well, I will be honest when Dodge sends out their paper to fill out about whether or not I was pleased with the service. (sorry to sound like I'm totally p.o.'d. I'm not. My truck pulled my fiver, and performed power- wise and economy- wise like no truck I've ever owned. And that was without any mods except a foam air filter. I love it, but I'm beginning to wonder about my dealer's mechanics)

My truck is doing the same thing. It seems like it is where the glass meets the frame of the door. Only really hear it when the window is up. I have had so many other little problems that this one has gone unchecked until now. Good luck and let us know of any solutions

My driver's side window is doing the same thing. If I lower it a fraction of an inch, it quits. It almost seems like the glass is "bottoming out" against the top of the window frame. Should there be felt up in very the top of the window guide? I'll have the dealer check it out when I take it in for the transmission line/cooler issue that I received notification on, yesterday.
