You have to take the whole center cosole apart first. Very easy to do. Pop all of the cupholders out and remove the 4wd shifter ****. Remove all of the 8mm hex head screws (4 or 5 I think) and remove the back half of the center cosole. Then remove the remaining 8mm screws and remove the front half of the center console. Those console pieces just kind of snap together. Then remove the two phillips screws on the bottom edge of the vertical filler underneath the vertical stack. Once the vertical piece is removed, you will see two screws at either side of lower edge of the radio/vent cluster panel you are wanting to remove. Take those out then grab the center piece where it meets the guage cluster and pull. It just snaps in place. It's a bear to get started but it just pops out, vents and all. Unplug all electrical and you are good to go!

Clear as mud?

what in the heck????? what a PIA for something so simple. Is it a theft deterrent or something? heck, you can steal the truck faster than geting the radio.....crazy, just crazy. LOL Thanks for the assist. I have an
auto with the auto 4x4 and my cup-holders flop out of the dash. I guess every thing else is the same? I wish I had the cup holders on the floor......

It sounds like a PIA but it only takes a few minutes to do . The filler panel I spoke of is the cupholder delete for me. Mine has the floor holders. They should both come out of the dash the same, the two phillips screws holding them in at the bottom. Glad I could help.

Should be basically the same. You will have more electrical stuff to unplug once you get the center stack out due to the Laramie stuff, but it should all physically bolt together the same.

Hey Shanajustin, I have some radio issues and your info on console removal really sped up my disassembly time.
Good info, Thanks
