04 Seat Heaters
04 Seat Heaters
I need some information about the 04 (3rd gen anytime i believe) seat heaters..... I have some 04 seats in my 97 that are equipped with seat heaters. I have the control box that was under the driver seat, and all of the cables for under the seats. Does anyone know what the switches are, what is powered, where they go, where to get the switches, and any idea on how to wire them? I am usually handy with this sort of stuff, and eventually i will figure it out.... just looking for anything anyone knows about these.....
thanks.
thanks.
I looked up the wiring diagram a while back when there was a thread discussing how to make the seats run hotter. Turns out the system is more advanced than I had expected...
The switches are resister multi-plexed momentary type, and the control module has self diagnostic modes which would likely kick into fault mode if anything is out of range, plus they display error codes with combinations of the LED's in the switches.
I think you will need to order the factory switches to make it work right...
You could probably mount them wherever it is handy...

These things are seat heaters in a pickup.... not mission critical parts of a space ship......
Why does everything have to be like this......
So I guess I need the factory switches... Is there anything else that is not found in the seats? I am guessing the under floor wiring harness might come in handy...
Do you remember where that wiring diagram is?
