Mine is cracked too. Dead center, from the 12 oclock position to the 6. So, anybody use the Geno's kit for a repair? As asked earlier, is this a cover or do you pull out the existing?

A local upholsterer told me that putting Armorall on your dash (as well as the seats and the door panels) is like putting baby oil on your skin and then sitting in the sun. It has very little if any UV protection and it actually will hold more heat into the piece in question. He told me that (like a few have mentioned here) 303 Aerospace is the only product he recommends. I use it on my motorcycle seat, and everywhere I can in my truck. It's expensive, but not as expensive as replacing parts. If you want to find out what really works....talk to RV guys and boat guys. They deal with the worst the sun can offer. The few I have talked to about it echoed what the upholsterer guy said....303. I use a window shade religiously in my truck, but I also use the 303 every month or so. Black truck, black dash....doesn't get much hotter than that. The 303 is supposed to be like SPF 40 for your UV vulnerable parts. I'll be honest and tell you that I haven't used 303 long enough to give any good evidence of how well it works....but people I trust have, with excellent results.

I will back peddle some as I mentioned NOT using anything.There isa ISSUE with dash cracking on 2nd Gens.I was shocked at the amount of failure I read about.I'll still say using Armour All just makes the issue worse but there is a issue,Never would have thought hard plastic would be prone to falling apart. Put Armour All on a BLACK motorcycle seat,leave in the sun and SIT on it! I forgot way back when and I did that.
