What do I need to all buy to Delete
Hi Thinking about going the delete route on my 08 dually.
What do I need to buy to make this work. I think I will go the delete with the least amount of hassle..I really dont want to have to get gauges, can I live without them? I tow a 38ft 5th wheel a dozen times a year,
I have a lead on the delete pipe. also I can pick up a smarty 67 from a guy I know.
What else? I dont want to start and find out I should have got this or that..
Thanks Guys

Cali or Mega??
Hi. Which or these these two types of deletes to do is the Question.
I still have abit of warranty left so Im thinking the easiest to put back to stock might be the way to go until my warranty is over.. So with the Cali style deletes you dont have to worry about the ERG blocking plates do you? stuff is just unplugged but left together, is that right?
Second part of my Question Is why go the Mega style? What does it do for you that the Cali delete doesn"t? the weight savings is of no concern to me
as I usually have to add weight to keep the thing from sliding around on the ice.A more accessible engine area isnt a concern either.
Im curious as to why go the Mega if the Cali does it, the is no smog testing here ,so either route works but why take stuff off if unplugging it does the same thing.
Thanks

I thought Cali and Mega were the same in this context and the difference you're speaking of is the Blake style full deletes. If I did not have to worry about smog or such I would do the full deletes myself to clean up the truck from these vestiges. However, I will have to smog and revert periodically in CA. I don't think there is really any other advantage to the full deletes as the performance result is essentially the same...

Right now Blake style is full stock....
What I like about the new 4th gen Smartys is you dont even have to pop the hood. You can delete in place, no unplugging nothing!
But, yes Dale, Cali style is unhood unplugging, EGR plunger removal, Delete pipe, and exhaust sensor unplugging. Simple as that.

Not trying to hi jack, but I've got a question? While under my truck today, planning the fuel lines for the aux tank, I looked at the exhaust system.
On my 01, I had 2 'cans' in the exhaust pipes, a muffler and a resonator. On the 03, I only have 1 'can', mounted just before the rear axle. Since I purchased the truck used, I don't know what has been previously done. Did Dodge change the exhaust, or did the previous owner remove the cat?

On your '03 you have a 3.5" muffler and a 4" tailpipe. I added a newer turbo HE351 and a full 4" downpipe and donaldson muffler. I used my original tailpipe. No kitty on '03's and early '04s.
