Smile trying to make her smoke

I currently have a 2008 Dodge 3500 with a smarty, complete egr delete. throttle valve delete, cold air intake, and some other extras. However I cant get her to blow smoke. I have the smarty cranked up on 9! She will get a good stream when I am giving her hell down the interstate, but will not smoke it out when your leaving the stop light or something. I'm confused. What can I do?

Make friends with Blake.Clark here as he has a a "smoke switch" set-up and thread for you.

By the way, I love the Smarty because of the lack of smoke...

I agree with Blake use this info wisely as this type of brazen public side shows have created the present issues we are deleting. The average Joe is getting tired of excess noise and black smoke. Age old story, looking for attention and you will get it and then be back here loooking for sympathy.

Just put a plastic bag over the air filter or pull off one the intercooler boots.

Why would you wanna make smoke? That is in part what led to stupid diesel smog laws like the one here now in Nevada.

You could always buy a 1985 Ford. If you really want to impress people, just throw cash out the window.

So will this work on an 04 5.9? I might do it just for the fun of it.

Funny you say that. After I feel the smoke free power of the 6.7, I went back to the tools to tune my 97 up for less smoke. Without anything to compare to I never thought twice about it. All for the better too, seems I got better power out of it and mileage to boot with some tweaks to the pump.

Ya, I like to start campfires with gasoline sometimes too. Sometimes it is fun, sometimes it is not called for... Moderation is the key.
