Smarty...HELP

OK, I just don't understand how to update my Smarty S67 to ME or anything else. Some of this computer stuff must be beyond me. I have unsucessfully tried to follow the directions in this thread: https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...pdating+smarty
but that didn't work for me either. Is there someplace I can mail this thing to and pay them to do this??
I have installed sw3 and sw5 and the truck runs GREAT but I would like to update to the ME version and whatever else I need.

Wait, you deleted and are running the non ME Smarty software?

If so they your truck should be tossing all kinds of codes, and definitely not be running great.

Hi Blake, Hmm, maybe I do have the ME already in it. I thought though that you had to load that into it. Maybe not bacause I have no CEL or codes.(I just now checked)
OK, I just tried this when I pluged it in to my computer, for just a second or two it reads (top line) Smarty S67 -That's why I thought I may not have the ME, but the next line has- V6.18A D:P23ME -So I guess I do have the ME dnload. Would this be the most current? I'm sorry for my dumb questions but I'm pretty computer illiterate. My truck runs great. I had it at SW5 for a couple days and I can see a call to South Bend in my future : ) I put it back to SW3 and am still real happy with it. After three years I am finally happy with my truck!!!
Thanks again, Robert

Robert, you currently have the most up to date version of the ME software available.

All you gotta do is enjoy!

Where at in Central Texas? I am in Killeen (or will be in a week or so). Might be able to help with getting you set up where you can update the software. Or, failing that, I can do it on my system.

Thanks Hal, Blake pointed out that I already have the most current version of 67ME. I am in Temple, maybe we can get together someday. I assume by your sig, you have been at Ft. Hood. I remember that place well. I was there forty years ago.

Old retired GI. Have not finished playing Army. Work as a GS civilian at Ft Hood. Deployed to Basra right now.

If you need to update your SMARTY, when I am home, you can get hold of me and I will help.

I was told by the dealer that the Smarty I bought would have the ME version in it. Fired it up the first time after the deletes three nights ago and it threw 6 codes and the VG was flippin out. 3 for EGR and three for DPF issues. Cleared the codes and it threw them again on start up. Started looking into it and the non-ME version was in there. Took my wife (my IT guru) 30 min to figure out the USB driver and another 30 to load the ME program. Reloaded the Smarty and no codes. Drove it 50 miles Yesterday with no codes and this thing is a beast!
