Late build 09 DPF delete

We have a late build 09 I done a full exhaust delete also have a smarty POD
The only thing I unplugged was the Throttle valve connector and the EGR cooler servo assembly was wondering if I have to do the EGR block off plates and take the spring out of the egr valve.

You can do the block off plates if you choose. If you choose not to , just remove the actuator plunger, and replace the egr actuator.

Make sure the actuator stays plugged in.

Don't take the spring out, just the plunger. You can put the EGR motor back on and you're done or you can put on the block off plates and leave the motor plugged in and hanging around on a zip-tie.

You're be loving life even more with your truck now!

Plunger

Is the plunger & spring all in one what does this do for the truck over what I have done so far. Also Will the block off make the truck run better

I *** assume that you have a Smarty programmer or something. The plunger come right out and the spring stays. They are no all in one. The block off plates will not make the truck run better. The programmer and lack of EGR soot will. The block off plates just make for a cleaner intake look.

I have "heard" that removing the EGR cooler and installing the plates makes the exhaust brake more responsive.. No conclusive evidence.

I just removed the plunger/spring and put the actuator back in place. Unplugged the cooler servo and the intake air butterfly.
