insight profiles
anybody have a good profile i could borrow? i just installed my insight tonight and man talk about overloaded with data, i wish they sold this thing in english. does anyone know what the alerts should be set at, like trans temp, or fuel pressure? i would love to use the alerts but dont know what is normal ranges, maybe there is a link out there somewhere? thanks in advance.

The profile I use lets me look at the cat temps too. I have seen temps up to 1140. The only alarm I have set is for regen. Then its a push of a button to shut off. Just a quick hint, if you do set your alarm for regen, its a value of 1 for yes and 0 for no. The book only shows yes or no.
Yes, there is a TON of information in there, it just takes some time to figure it all out.

^^^^ No it won't affect the bootloader as all its doing is reading the data provided to the OBDII port.
No problems yet, I really like it because I can see the "real" transmission, IAT, CAT, EGT, water temps as its warming up. Water temp must be 140 and the gauge starts to move. Its nice to see the real numbers and how working the motor changes things.
Its a nice gauge package and I don't lose my A-pillar handle and does not block any viewing.
My only complaint is the user manual is a little intense. I can see it from a programming point of the data they are looking at, but the manual could be better. The computer software is pretty good, does 1/4 mile, 0-60, etc. It even has a valet mode so you can see how others drove your truck.
