EGT/BOOST Normal or average numbers ??

Hi Everyone,

For my own piece of mind i'm curious what everyone is running for EGT and or boost numbers with their 6.7's ???

Mine is an 08 with full deletes and a smarty set up, ive seen boost peak just over 30psi under a hard acceleration but always drops back right away,

Also any thoughts on locating the egt probe in the rear EGR block off plate ??

That boost number sounds right. I run SW5 and can get near the 33-34psi mark on a cold day, hard pull. The EGTS even towing never get over 1200°F WOT.

I drilled my manifold for the EGT sensor, but if you could put it in one of the plates with enough to protrude into the exhaust stream it should be good and easier to do.

Cruising details.. Empty around the 110 kph is about 5-6 psi boost and 650-750°F EGT.

I am suspecting that having the pyro mounted in the egr block off plate is giving me poor readings as i only get around 225f at cruising speeds , most i have ever seen is like 650ish...

I was honestly thinking it was a typo. I get around 250°F at idle. With EB on and high idle its near 450°F. Most times around town in moderate power it reaches 800°F and holds there.

The cruising temps seem close to my 97 if not a little bit cooler.

How long is the probe out of the fitting? Maybe if it has some adjustment, try and get it more into the exhaust stream. You may try tapping the hole a little deeper in the plate to get the bushing in farther etc.

Check the connections too just for giggles. You never know, its just low voltage and anything can make it read funny.

On my 2010 with a H&S when towing I get a max of 30-31 boost and it will hold it there on a WOT. EGT max at 1200
