EGR unplugged, EB does not work to warm up engine
I've unplugged the egr for quite sometime and have enjoyed the benefits of better fuel economy and lower intake temps. Now that its cooled off, when I start the truck, turn on the high idle and hit the EB, it does not turn on (light comes on, but no EB engagement). It works while driving, but not at a fast idle to warm up the engine. I really hate to plug it in for the winter and put all that sooty crap into the intake (and get crappy fuel economy too).
Yes I know, get the smarty and do the deletes, but I've only had it for 2 months and am not ready for that yet.

The EB warm up feature is based on engine temp as well as ambient temp. Mine doesn't work during the summer until I was camping in the mountains and the overnight temp dropped below 5°C. Don't plug in the EGR it won't matter IMHO..
