DPF delete kit!
DPF delete kit!
Hey guys I have a 2007.5 6.7 I'm going to be installing a Diamond eye turbo back 4" kit on. I've never done this and haven't seen the kit myself yet, but the owner of the truck says there's only 2 bungs welded onto the DPF kit and 3 on the factory DPF system... We didn't get any directions at all with the kit and we're wondering why there's only 2 bungs in the the Diamond Eye kit and 3 in the DPF system from the factory. Also there's 2, 3/8's inch fittings off 1/4inch tubing, what is that for? Any tips anyone might have for the install is welcome, Thanks!

remove the 02 sensors brother and screw them into the new exhaust. the other 3 sensors are temp/pressure sensors and are deleted.
the stainless lines you are referring to are pressure lines that go to a sensor on the passenger side bellhousing of the transmission. just remove the lines and loop one of the rubber hoses that is already on there to the sensor to keep dirt and debris out of the sensor for future reinstalling of the emissions garbage.
call me if you have any questions.

He doesn't? I'll show him these posts on here and let him read what you guys are puttin'... We're both new to modding 6.7's... I've helped do a lot of stuff to 5.9's, but haven't had a chance to help on 6.7's... This isn't my truck and I sure don't want to mess anything up, so any tips/input you guys have would be great!

if the exhaust already has bungs welded in then they have to be plugged. install the 02 sensors into the bungs, plug them in to keep the harness from getting melted onto the pipe and run it.
My suggestion would be to just leave ALL the sensors on the stock exhaust that you are removing and plug the ones in your new exhaust accordingly. My delete pipe came with a bung and I just got a 1.5 x 18mm bolt (cut down) which is the same thread as the 02 sensor and plugged it.

If you leave the O2 sensors in the exhaust to plug the bung holes make sure not to plug them in, they have to remain unplugged with the smarty.
