Bye Bye 6.7!!! Hello 07 5.9 qc dually

well due to 15 trips to 2 different dealers with my 07 6.7 cab chassis with dpf problems i decided to buy a used 07 5.9 to pull my 32ft trailer with. Prior owner of the truck installed a donaldson muff, no cat. aftermarket lift pump(not sure what brand but way noisy compared to my fass on my 05) and K&N drop in filter. Im sure it was chipped up cuz they had a pyromerter and fuel pressure gauge installed because they leftthe sending unit for the fuel and put a plug in the manifold where the probe was. I had 67000 on my 6.7 and this truck has had an extremly rough 39000. front pinion seal leak. carpet trashed. tailgate and bed beat and rock chipped all to heck... needless to say u can tell it wasnt takin near as good care of as my 6.7 and it gets 11.8 fuel mileage on paper towing as where i never got over 9 with the 6.7. put 4000 miles on it without a bit of trouble. love the 5.9s and im buying an 06 qc ctd with an auto for my parents as we speak. that makes 3 5.9s in the family. il never buy another 6.7. the last trip to the dealer with it cost me $487.51

This is interesting. Are you guys a bit of a minority, or are there lots of guys w/6.7's having to hit the dealer all the time?

The 08 6.7s seem to have much less issues with them then the 07 6.7s did.
