The smarty will disable the egr and cooler in place, but the dpf and nox filter must be removed.

That is correct. The regular S67 will command the EGR to 0% all the time so it is like an EGR delete, but that is about it for the emissions. This is the route that I took with just the S67 at first. I ran it that way for a bit, but then decided it was not that hard to disable all the junk. Delete pipe later and downloaded the ME version and now I'm even happier. I want to be able to go backwards as easy as possible as I still have my warantee and live in CA.

Full deletes would be great, but I just don't want to venture that far into the deep end to have to go back...

That is the delete pipe that would allow for removal of the NOX filter and the DPF. Using this pipe you would still have the catalytic converter in the downpipe.
