I just got back in town drove the truck today an the ck. engine light came on . I plan on doing all delets over the 3 day week end. So my question is i have downloaded the ME program onto the sm jr. Will or can you still read and clear the trouble codes?

 

Yes, you should be able to use it to read and clear your codes without changing (uploading) your program.

 

I just put on the delete pipe today, plugged in the smarty programed the ecm. It took about 5 mins. my question is where in the smarty do you actually delete the re gen system ? Cke light is on at this time. Also I'm going to do the full egr delete on Friday. I never had to use a programmer before. I do have the ME program on the smarty.

Smarty disables all regen, dont worry about changing parameters. With the ME its always off.

 

Hopefully you followed the Smarty instructions on the disconnect to the letter. If so, you should be all good to go with no issues. Use the Smarty to check what the CEL is.
