Ya me too, I have a 7.5 6.7 and have had deletes from the start. I did the free spin kit and no egr. I still have the AV flash from the start as I hate to go to the dealer, but I just can't get the fuel economy up. Only getting about 11-12 around town and if I am really careful 17 on the hwy. but I just can't drive it that way. ARGH! Almost at $4 a gallon so I REALLY REALLY need to address this now!

Wow maybe mine isnt so bad. I can get 17 in town pullin a trailer and two fourwheelers. Im goin to check it without towing and on highway as soon as i can. Ive heard or read that if i turn up my 6.7 to a point i can get better milage without taking chance of hurting anything but really dont wont to turn it up if i dont need too.I agree at almost $4 a gallon i will sacrifice alot for decent milage.

what programmer are u running ?

mine had the av flash as well i was getting 12mpg

if you have a smarty download the 23me tune from mads it has the j35 flash built into it.

additionally highest mileage gains on mine came from sw3, tm3, tqDefault, and of coarse keeping my right foot out of it.

i am getting 15-17 currently driving it like its a rental

Im running the juice. I was driving it around on number 3,,,, but ya,,, like you said,,,, you have to keep your foot out of it. And that's no fun.
I currently have it turned down to 1. I am hoping I can get used to it and save a bit of fuel!!

I just did an 850 mile trip with Smarty on SW3 options all one cept for the vgt on 2 and the edge Juice on 1...average round trip hand calc'd mpg 17.8. Was in a crosswind for the first half...very strong winds of 45-55 mph. I can live with that on winter fuel. Cruise was set at 68 mph.
Prior to deletes this would have been closing in on single digits...maybe 11 mpg at the best.

First what state are you registered in? Some states have annual smog inspections and now look for tuners imprint in the boot sector of the ECM. I know as I live in California and even my second home in Arizona is checking the equipment while not as invasive as California they do hookup to the computer beside doing a visual. I waited on mine until 130k to do it for warranty reasons. I had no issues but wanted to squeeze out the MPG. I went through testing and they let me know that I had at one point a Computer loader. It did pass but they told me that I should get the dealer to reload the ecm to avoid problems in the future. I put all the gear back on (EGR,DPF ect) several weeks before so the registers in the ECM could get normal again. Just be careful on the advice that comes from a forum as it could lead to headaches later.

Take care

I too live in commi calif. But for me, the headaches that come with the dpr and egr are much worse than having to find someone to smog it. I spent way too much money on this truck to keep the soot circulating through it and to throw away fuel in the particulate trap! Just my choice.
