I am getting the Edge Juice installed Tomorrow ( along with an AFE Stage I) and I am a tad confused about what all comes in the package. Is the Egde Juice chip AND the Attitude box all one or do you have to buy the Attidue Monitor separately?
I think I was reading on here somewhere that the Juice WILL NOT work without the Attitude monitor hooked up also.

The juice kit alone will work on a 3 way toggle switch but you will not get the full features of it. With the attitude you will. More than likely you got the attitude kit, never seen anyone buy just the juice kit.

 

I only paid $550 installed. ( Not including AFE airbox ) The place I bought my truck is also sells some performance products so the Edge Juice was part of the deal.
I just assumed that it was all one package, chip and monitor.

 

If you paid $550 installed you didn't get the Attitude monitor or else they lost money on the deal. If you did get the Attitude and the Juice for that price then be ready to IM a couple thousand people the name and number of the place you bought the stuff from. Both can come in one box. You can always add the monitor later. The install of just the Juice alone is about a 10 minute task. The Attitude adds another hour because you have to drill and tap the manifold, run a harness inside the cab and mount the Attitude somewhere.

 

Not really sure if it does come with the attitude monitor or not. i will let you kow tomorrow. The place I bought my truck from only deal;s with dodge diesels and he sells Edge products and AFE products.
I traded my 01' up there and we negotiated that he also put the Edge juice in the new truck along with the AFE stage I for $800 installed.

 

I guarentee there was no attitude... Vendors pay something like $690, then retailers sell it for as much as possible.

I agree you didn't get the Attitude.

I have seen people use just the Juice with no attitude, infact i used my truck like that for a week until i got all A2 issues straightened out.

I don't think you can hook an attitude up to a Juice that originally came with no attitude. Edge may work you a deal so that you aren't out full cost, but i don't see how a 3 level switch controlled Juice automatically goes to a 5 level electronically controlled unit. I could be wrong....

 

O.k. Now you REALLY lost me on that one. Are you saying there are 2 types of Edge Juice? one that is a stand alone and only had 3 levels AND one that runs with the Attitude monitor with 5 levels?

This is true I'm sure but, you gotta remember that I was not just negotiating a price for the performance mods. I was trading an 01' and was getting him to "throw in" the mods to sweeten the deal. Believe me. He made money no matter what.
So, basically from what I have read here, it is in fact possible to buy just the Juice without the attitude. That was really my original question. Thanks for the info.
I didn't want to go up there in the morning and look like a bigger fool than I already am. ( if that is possible)

 

The switch only changes 3 positions but when you plug the Attitude monitor in you have full advantage of all 5 power levels as well as all of the safety features, etc. It is the same module and can be upgraded later by just plugging in the Attitude. Don't worry about it you can get it later if it doesn't come with it.
