XZT V 30-60-100 Box

G'day guys,

Im just tossing up between the 2 boxes available from Quad.

Is the 60 setting on the adjustable box going to give the same sort of results as the XZT box, which is 65?

I'm looking for some economy improvements as well, especailly for long trip.

Opinions between the 2 boxes greatly appreciated.

I was thinking of getting this box also. I seems like a good way to make up for lost power due to bigger tires.
Would like to hear about XZT box also.
thanks,
DK

well i have the 65 hp tow box .. i couldn't be more happy with the performance, install or price !! wow !! what a difference in power !! i am very curious about feeling the power of the high hp boxes cause this one is awesome a 65 hp .. i have about 7000km on it (4300 miles) i towed my rock truggy from BC to southern California with it worked flawlessly , the egts are very very low when it come to boxes .. i swear they are not far off stock .. i have yet to hit 1400 with it .. and trust me i have done my share of WOT run with it !! and a another thing .. not one code !!! phew !!

Batts get the 60-100-140 race box, trust me. Once you get used to the added power, you will never use the 30hp setting. The 60 hp setting is ideal for daily driving, and you can dial up 100 for playtime which is fantastic. It's nice to have the 140s setting to 'grow into'.

Did you send us an email? I think it says you only get the green level correct? That is only 60hp. I believe one of the techs sent an email back to you as they came and sasked me.

Ok, we had a guy that forgot to plug the switch in! He was too excited!

I am not sure why it does not feel as strong? Each truck is different, some say it is stronger and others feel like you do.

We weren't really out to produce the same sort of power as we wanted to be smoother with less smoke. We focused more on drivability and making the power work with a basically stock truck.

We probably don't come on as strong right off of the bottom.

Hope that helps?

I do like the smoothness i guess its just me. I'm just use to the powerpup on exteme (130HP) One thing i did notice is the first 3 blinks mine seems to blink green green orange (which the manual says yellow) but I don't see any yellow then stays green. Could this have anything to do with it, or maybe i m just getting freaked out.

The new manual states Yellow/Orange

It all depends on the lighting as to what you will see.
