Power Pup

Hey Guys:

I am thinking about getting a Banks Power Pup for my 2004.5 CTD. I have 30,000 miles on it and have an AirRaid intake and straight pipes. My question is this...would this program be best for my truck since at this time, I do not want a program that is going to require all the guages etc... I would like some more power, but mileage overall....

Thanks YALL!

I like both, so I stacked them together.

Cetane - The Power Pup is made by Bully Dog - not Banks - If Your choosing between the two I would buy the 140 hp Xzillaraider. Incab adjustable & 140 hp.
For after the power bug hits. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice guys. Do you think that I will need gauges for this application?

Cetane..,
Put the gages in first. Boost and pyrometer are a must have.

Jayrods600..,
I run the pup and like it. No problems and solid power. I also installed the xzillerater race box. It really makes the engine rattle. Even with the BDDL set to "stock" it still rattles. Rattling sounds pre-ignition related. Is anyone else experiencing this rattling with the xzillerater? As far as stacking goes the BDDL on performance with the xzillerater at 60hp performs nice. Lots of smoke and good roll-on power. Still the rattling has me a little concerned.

I was going to buy a ramifier but I got a good deal on a xzillerader so I went with it. I had heard the ramifier played well with the bddl. Anyone have experience with the bddl / ramifier stack?

B proctor,
I have noticed the rattle but mine seems to be somrwhere around 2000 to 2400 rpms. power is smooth. Idle is fine. The quad box does seem to be as strong as the bdpp when they are by themselves. How about yours or anybody else?

I have the pup w/ the RAMifier. I really like the combo. I have the PUP on the perf. setting and dial the **** up on the RAMifier as needed
.

I have not had a single issue w/ the stack. It will get quite warm when you floor it w/ the RAMifier turned up.

I have the Power Pup stacked with TsT PowerMaxCR. This setup is awesome, I set the PowerPup to 90 HP and the TsT to 2 and 2 -- It is more smooth power than I even need I can't wait to drive it each day.

jayrods600,

My xzillerader doesn't seem to perform as well as the pup when run each by themselves. The xzillerater doesn't seem to have the low end grunt, and the more I turn it up the more it has pre-ignition rattle. I've emailed quad about this and will wait to see what he says.

The pup on performance and the xzillerater on 60 hp seem to be a interesting stack.

However I'll still probably get the ramifier and give it a shot.
