Lately my truck feels a bit wimpy. I had the BD on 'extreme', but had the Outlook down to 50% for about 2 weeks, to be easy on the tranny. I turned it up to 100%, which is usually a kick in the pants, but it was lackluster. Normally EGT's on Extreme are 1150-1200, Turbo boost is 30-31 psi, and there is a huge cloud of smoke. Now it is 600-650 deg, 22-23 psi, and no smoke. I returned the program to 'stock', and the EGT's will max a little higher, and there is the stock amt. of smoke, but I am afraid to go back to extreme. I checked the fuel filter, lined, ect. All good. The turbo tubes and fittings seem OK, but it is hard to check 'em real well. The air filter is new and clean. There are no DTC's. The only real difference is the turbo will bark more when going into 4th under moderate to heavy accel. Not all the time, but more than usual. Any ideas or experiences similar? Any insite would be awesome!

 

Check to see if you have a loose or cracked intercooler hose fitting. It seems you boost isn't coming up like it should, and this might be the cause.

 

Recycle the key and leave it on 100% during the cycle maybe your truck got confused by a change in Boost Pressure.
