XZT boost am I missing something?

After installing quadz XZT tow module I’m very happy with the performance of the truck. My question and concern is. I was told that my truck was supposed to be able to make about 30 psi of boost. After getting only 22 psi I went ahead and bought an adjustable boost elbow. Well the boost still the same 22 psi. The truck runs great plenty of power no black smoke and a lot more responsive. I contacted quadz, just waiting on a response. But I thought I would throw it out there just to get your thoughts. Also I want to thank MikeyB he is been of great help.

Thanks

After installing my new combo gauge I noticed my boost would not go above 24.
Geno's exchanged my gauge and the new one will jump up over 40 with no problem. The original gauge was defective.

This was with an analog gauge, one of the new digital ones should not have this problem.

I hooked my gauge to my compressor and it worked fine, I had it to 45 psi and the only difference was that it was reading 5 psi more than the gauge on the compressor.

I guess my real question is do I really need more boost? I can hit 70+ in a hurry never going over 18 psi of boost the only time I see 22 psi is when I go WOT which is very seldom.

Another thing I hear the turbo whistle a lot louder now.

The extra boost is nice in help lowering the EGTs when towing.

I wonder if the adjustable boost elbow screw isn't botttomed out? Try taking the allen key and see if you can bottom out the screw. Then take the truck for a spin to see if there's a change.

I would also try adjusting your boost elbow. Even stock with the wastegate modified you should get 25-26psi.

Where are you measuring boost at? Is it in the manifold using a boost bolt?

Thanks, Adjusted the boost elbow to bottom out the screw and I was able to get 32 psi. So everything is good now.
