help with new 07 wheels, tires, susp., perf.

i just bought a new 07 2500 and would like to get a few opinions, starting off i would like to know if i could go with 37/12.5/20 on 20x9 wheels with lorenz leveling kit, if not what is the minimum lift i could go with, also interested in going with 4" mbrp exhaust, would also like ideas on stacks that do not require large amount of mods, afe intake, please give opinions

You'll get some rubbing with 37's and the Lorenz leveling kit. Some trimming and creative sledge hammer work may minimize it (at least it has worked for me in the past ). I would go 4-5" minimum if you want 37's.

FWIW, I have BFG A/T KO LT315/70R17/D on some aftermarket aluminum rims, and have had no clearance/interference issues even when articulated in turns... with basically a 35" x 12" wide tire.

I'm actually planning to purchase a set of 37x12.50R17/D BFG A/T KO's, and after careful measuring/checking, I know I could run them the way the truck sits now with minor rubbing during turns/suspension compression, but I'm going to fab/buy some 2" leveling spacers for the front to eliminate any rubbing.

On my vehicles, the "professionals" always limit what tires they say are "supposed" to fit for the sake of being safe and conservative, but I check myself on the actual vehicle and decide for myself.

The reason I'm switching tires is to get another 220# weight rating form each tire. Truxus has a tire the same size with a slighter higher rating that I'm also considering.

You already have a 4" exhaust from the factory. Might want to just straight pipe it. Or you could go with stacks that seems to be the hot new muffler option.

My short list of mods would be:
-Full Billet trans DTT/ATS/Suncoast, etc.
-Glacier Diesel Fuel pump
-TST stacked with a Smarty and a Commander for gauges and eventually it will control the TST once the update comes and you can get it with a cooldown feature soon. (The easier setup would be and my other choice would be a HOT Juice with attitude monitor and Smarty)
-Afe stage II with a Pro Gaurd filter
-100hp Injectors
-Superchips Digital Propane Injection

After this a twin turbo system and ARP head bolts could be added. At this point you are looking at some very serious HP numbers.

This would rock!!!

Someday... when the money trail rolls in...

Tire clearance issues come from the wheels, and their backspacing. Right combo, and you can run 37" tires with Lorenz's lift. Wrong combo, you'd be lucky to run 35" tires with it. Do a search on here, spend a night reading and you'll get all the inco you could want.

I have 37" Mtr's and only rub at full turn with articulation.
