X-monitor alarm settings

Where do you set the X-monitor alarms?

I just drove home from my buddies shop with a brandy new toy and the first thing it did was start with boost alarms (set at 12 I think). I'm sure guessing 12 for boost is low, where should I set it and why?

I have a post-turbo pyro so I'm thinking I could alarm that at 900?
Tranny at 250?

Thanks

Stock boost should top off at about 27psi, well below hurting the turbo or anything. If you add a fueling box, you could get plenty more. Some folks are getting ridiculous numbers out of the stock turbo after adding a box, but it probably won't last long. About 35 is the most you ever want to see out of that stocker. DC went cheap on specs for the shaft and bearings, so it won't hold up well to spinning any faster than that.

On the pyro, personal opinion of course, but 1300 is when you want to start backing off the fuel, which equates to about 900 post turbo. I would set my alarm a little earlier, about 1200, 800 post turbo, so I'll have time to see it flashing and decide on what to do.

X-Monitors are nice, aren't they.

post turbo pyro I'd set it @ 800*, boost at 30 and oil @220

Yes I like my X-monitor.
It does wash out in direct sun, but I just discovered the brightness settings and moved it from 2 to 4. Last night I just had it sitting on the dash and I rode around with it that way today. I just finished fishing the wire throught the A-pillar and took the thing apart to paint it. I couldn't find the beige pillar color anywhere, so I painted it taupe to match the dash. Hope that's OK.

Same here. I ended up getting the best match I could find. It is just a tad darker than the pillar and is only noticeable in bright sunlight. I figure if it starts to bother me, I'll just paint the pillar to match my X-Monitor.

When I called Geno's to buy the Xmonitor I asked for paint and they said they didn't have it. I called mydodgeparts.com and asked for it by Mopar # and they said it was nationally backordered until April. They had a dash color in stock so I got that instead. Turns out it is the color of the dash inserts, not the top of the dash where the monitor sits. And, it's not a great match at that. Still, it kind of goes with the colors in the truck and it looks better than black to me.

I put a pic in my gallery
