Just watch your slip on you monitor.Your turbo should be good till about 40# of boost.I asked the same question also they said really anything past 40-45 is pushing it on stock turbo also the head studs need to be changed out if your going to be pushing it 40# plus alot.

I have thought the same thing why not just wait till the tranny goes then rebuild it with the right parts??? I have never heard of not being able to rebuild one? A buddy of mine rebuilds them and I thought why not try to get one built by the dealer and then once the warranty goes get another one built right after the warranty!

I highly doubt youll blow your head gasket with a stock turbo. The pml head gasket can take up to 50 from what i hear, some have even went higher...

I know the stock turbo will not damage head gasket, but what I've read is that the stock turbo 40#+ boost will not have a very long life doing that kinda of boost.also have talked with folks with little bigger turbos 45+ boost have blown head gasket on thier 2005s'.

I'd keep that Juice low, or you will take out the trans.
Get a tc and vb....
Pay now, or pay lots more later.

I have the quad standard box. I keep the setting on 60hp almost all of the time, including when I tow my 11K 5th wheeler. You wont hurt the trans unless you abuse it. Just drive like you normally would, and just stay away from level five. If you want to race take your chances on level three. These trans can take a little more HP if not abused. Start throwing your spare change into a really big jar.

If you grenade the tranny, you will end up with a pot-o-^%$*. There is a possibility of something breaking loose and cracking the housing or placing stress fractures in the VB area. As well, some people dont think to flush the trans cooling system after a failure causing another failure do to fragging the internals with crap.

It's your truck, do what you want, but after talking with some of the fastest guys on here ( john_p, banshee, masonic-dodge) various builders, and other drivers it seems best to be pro-active.

Everyone wants the power, smoke and bragging rights. No one wants to be tht guys that has to be towed home for a lack of common sense. Like I said, IMO it only makes sense.
