I had a hoped up 81 vette, i learned i dont like to walk untill i find cell service, the best way is to have a balence of mods that work well together, if you have A this but only C quality that it causes problems.

Hmm, never heard of them, maybe someone else has. Its amazing how you can finance boob jobs but not trannys huh? Anyways doing just the t/c or v/b at once might put more stress on the other parts, im not really sure though? Im sure someone will chime in.

Its just super hard thinking of spending $2500 for somthing that IN MY eyes makes NO difference. Yes, I know I am wrong and ill feel a lil power increase and the trans will be so much better, but im used to 10 sec COBRAS where $2500 = a $hit LOAD OF POWER and only clutch was needed

He could run at level 3 or 4 with little adverse problems,, as long as he dosent try to pull much or, do any hard 4 wheel drive launches. I ran my bully dog power pup on extreme for 30 or 40 thousand k, til I got my new tranny,,, but wow,, what a difference when I did get my new tranny,, wish I had done it sooner

If your getting just a tq converter and valve body you might want the rest of the transmission in working order or you aint going nowhere. Hes not buying a whole new transmission, he just wants to put some goodies in his to keep it together.

Ouch....Catastrophic failure can really cost a lot. I am getting a TC,VB,BIS, double deep pan installed for 3k. My builder said that is all i need for the little towing and occasional road rage i'll throw at it.

I will be running the smarty on top of my current mods

why dont I just wait and have it replaced by warranty. I already have 70k/7yr warranty and my dealer is mod friendly and actually installs chips, TT, exhaust, intaktes....etc. There the ones who even tell you to get a chip and all this other stuff and are totally cool with mods.
