i have a 04 dodge ram 2500 the motor says 325 horse but i thought that they started that in 04.5 and the manufacture date is 5/04 i want to order a chip and dont want to get the wrong one please help

 

If the side of the valve cover has your horsepower rating as 325 and 600 lbs torque you have the 600 series CR.

 

so dose that mean the chip for 04.5-06 will work or 02-04.5

 

What chip is it? You'll need the 04.5 and up

 

I have a question on this,my engine has no tag on it that I can find,the ECM is dated 05,I had to have a Marco recovery to get by the skimm module,so how would I find out what the engine really is ? It was purchased as a 325/600 with 22,000 miles but who knows for sure?

The valve cover on the 04.5 had the sticker on the driverside stating the engine specs of 325 horse and 600 torque. The 05's had the 325 and 610 torque

 

is that the same motor and will the chip still work

 

Its the same motor. I believe Dodge put that on during the Duramax and Cummiins advertised torque war back in 05.
