why does my he351 oil drain not line up?

why does my he351 oil drain not line up?

ok guys im wondering here my oil drain for my turbo is a little bit off from the oil pan im trying to figure out why it wont line up i have an ats manifold and this is on my 03 is there anything i can do to get it to line up? thank s

Are you using the drain tube from your 03? The he351 turbo on the 04.5+ trucks has an accordian/flex type drain, where our 03's had a solid drain tube with a short piece of hose.

What ever you use, as long as it has a continuous downward flow you will be alright. If the drain tube has anything close to a horizontal bend, it will not drain correctly, and will back oil up into your turbo, and eventually into your intake or exhaust.

gotcha thats what i was wondering i guess im gonna cut the tube and line it up and go from there and put another piece of hose in there and hose clamp it i bet that will work good!
