Why do Auto smoke more than manuals?

Why do Auto smoke more than manuals?
My brother has an 05 auto and I have an 03 6 speed. With a BullDog DL on it's highest setting the auto smokes heck of a lot worse than the manual. Is it because his is an '05 or do auto just smoke more? Why?

The manual will spool quicker due to a closer gear ratio. Huge amounts of smoke are mostly made at low boost levels.
