Who's had injector damage from the EZ?

I just put the Edge EZ on my truck, and I've heard that running a pressure box only may cause injectors to crack. I'd like to hear about this some more, so post up some horror.

You would know when either the crankcase was filling with diesel, no crank due to leaky injector, or a return flow test was done on each injector. When you have to step up and pay the bill for the injectors it's not fun. So, use higher pressure in moderation or pay the piper so to speak.

So theoretical should the oil level in engine raise if some injectors are bad?

I pulled real heavy with my EZ on three and cracked a injector housing. I knew better but I could not stand to pull without it.

I am just a rookie, so don't jump on me if this is a dumb question. Is it possible to cause the same damage with the Edge juice with attitude?

Yes, if the body or nozzle cracks it will leak diesel in the oil.

my truck with the van aken preesure box cracked 5 out of the 6 injectors. the dealer was to cheap to change all 6 the first time. and till this day they still arent smart enought to realize that i have any performance upgrades other than exhaust and intake!!!

so long story short i sold the van aken and bought a bully dog then TST and havent had one problem.

standard triple dog settings don't add pressure (pedaphile larry does, not sure about scary or sled puller tunes), so it would just be the ez that could damage your injectors.

Its not that easy, thats like asking "if I run NOS will I blow my motor" you might, but you might not. We cant tell you for sure. Some poeple run the EZ for 150k with no problems, then some plug it in and blow all six.

So in short, yes any type of pressure box, or any added pressure is not GOOD for injectors.

The two things that crack are the bodies or the nozzle. You can get a good set of aftermarket nozzles that you shouldn't have problems with, but the bodies are the same.

Like I said "pressure is not GOOD for injectors", its not something you want to run alot of everyday. When you mod a truck be ready for problems, and be ready to pay. Even stock trucks with nothing done to them blow injectors, but they get it done under warranty... sometimes
