Who makes replacement intercoolers for 2005's

I blew mine up today.I don't really want to put another plastic one in.I don't know if they will warranty it ,so if i have to spend some money it may as well be on a good aftermarket one. Please let me know what companys (if any)make them. Thanks

Someone told me that Dodge is having issues with the Plastic tanks on the '05 CTD intercoolers so they are replacing the broke ones with the older Alunimum tanks. I was hoping mine would go soon so I can get the Aluminum tank.

PS does anyone know if the intercooler is covered in the 7/100k warranty or just the 3/36k warranty?

I'm pretty sure Banks makes an aftermarket intercooler, but it is pricey ($1500 if I recall correctly).

My late 2005 came from the factory with an all metal intercooler (welded aluminum tanks). I guess that mid-year experiment failed miserably! Anyway, I'm pretty sure the warranty replacements are all metal too. Just make sure they don't see your box!

Try Scheids and Haisley Machine.

That doesn't sound toooooo bad on the banks kit

The Banks kit sounds fairly reasonable compared to others as they don't include the high ram. If the Banks flows what the Haisley does, which is 3 times the stocker then that seems to be a good deal to me. I've seen it on Trucks and it's huge compared to stock.

I blowed my intercooler about 2 mouths ago and they replaced it with a metal one. They covered it under warrenty but I only had about 5000 miles on it. I took my chip out first tough.

Check ebay. Quite often there are 03/04 metal intercoolers on there and I have seen them go for as little as $50.

I called banks, they said $1200 and change, which seems not to bad of a price because it comes with the banks highrise intake and the plumbing to adapt the bigger air hose, but they say they only test them to 40 psi,I would hope they would handle a little more than that.

Scheid Diesel can get you a bigger and better intercooler for your 03-05 Dodge CTD CR trucks.
Their phone number is: 1-800-669-1593. Haisley Machine also can get them. Their number
is: 1-877-948-3164. I will bet that either of these two shops will be alot cheaper than Banks$$$$$$$$ is!!! Quality is better too!

I persoanlly am running Scheids Big Intercooler in my 1996 with no problems at all!! The one I am running has taken over 100lbs of boost!!
