I have had my K&N on for 30,000 miles , Clean it every 10,000 . When I heard about sucking oil through and into the Turbo I was going to change over to the Amisoil . Instead I took a white glove and stuck my arm down the tube as far as I could and wiped all the way back to the filter , clean as a wistle . No oil , No Dust , No complaints here .

One word of advise.Somewhat DIRTY filters filter better then CLEAN filters. As they go from clean to dirty their peak efficency goes UP.At some time of course they peak and then become clogged and less air/flow efficent.Cleaning them often is as bad as too much oil.

Huh, that is funny and it makes sense.

I just bought the K & N FIPK (Filtercharger Injection Performance Kit Cold Air Intake) p/n 57-1532 off eBay for $207.64 free shipping & no tax to my doorstep. I've used K & N systems and products on many of my vehicles (2 wheels and 4 wheels) and have always been satisfied with the quality and the performance. If you're sucking oil from the filter you've applied way to much oil and would have this issue with any brand filter. I've never had that be an issue.

Like you, I have had a "K&N Filter System" on my 1996 Dodge CTD almost since the truck was new. I have NEVER had ANY issues with the filters and I also keep mine clean and maintained.

I have said for years that the biggest problems with the older "K&N" Filters is
OVER oiling and poor maintenance.
