White night lighting system
Got my light system (0004199) for x-mas and installed it the other day. Tested it out last night and what a difference it made. Works as advertised.
But, I will most likely change the bulbs to silverstars when they blow and use some silicone to better seal the unit. Other wise, I have no complaints. It installed very easy, but the wiring info supplied is incorrect for 04 and up. I cut the units wires to equal lenghts, then spliced all 3 leads 10-12 inches from the plug and wrapped all in electrical tape for neatness and security. I used the factory ground circuitry instead of bolting it to the chassis. For those of you interested.
7 pin plug leads
power lead: red(rd)/violet(vt) protected
Backup lead: white(wt)/light greed(lg) protected
Ground lead: black(blk)

I knew that one was coming.
Sorry, but I do not. I will post pic's once it stops raining or at least lets up a bit. I failed to mention I was able to get it installed during a short brake (20 min) in the weather. Afterall, I am in the PACNORWEST.

My White Night
Not trying to steal your thunder, but I do have pics.
I installed the White Night backup lights about 3 or 4 months ago. I had a wiring diagram of the 7 pin trailer harness for my 04.5 so I was able to find the wiring to tap pretty quick. I found unused hole in the trailer hitch bracket to use for ground.
I am very happy with the lights, I can see to backup with my mirrors now at night..
Lights
Ground connection
Wire taps covered in wire loom and re-taped.

I have the permanent mount version, and I had a hard time getting the trailer hitch in the square hole, because the light fixure sticks out too far. The lights are great for backing up and hooking up traiilers at night.
Yes the only real hassle is you need longer than normal hitch insert. I also trimmed the bottom of the casing so I can attach the safety chains easier. I have 4 different hitch inserts and only one of them was long enough to fit normally. It is pictured above. I have another set of backup lights, wiring, relays and switches that I was going to install, but this was quick and easy for now. If/when they fail or I smack them on something I will make brackets and install the other lights. But for now they work fine and I am satisfied with them.

How ya been. Long time no hear from. PM me when you can. I wish I could agree with you on the sprinkle. I have for the past few days had to revert water away from my driveway and into the drainage easement.

No problem, just thought I'd share some helpful info.
One thing I have noticed is it is a real bear to get the drawbar pin in and out of the pin hole with this thing on...... Especially if you have a locking dumbell type pin. Makes you think twice about wanting to take your reciever in and out.
No body could steal the thing that is for sure......

Your right it does take an upside down backwards set of hands to lock/unlock the pin. I just leave the hitch in and locked also. Probably save the lights that way, I seem to always get a little too close to fences when I back up.
