ok....so i screwed up and thought the pillars were crazy cheap. i bought a 2 gauge a-pillar when i did my gauges but now im considering adding a fuel pressure gauge. so.....do i just pony upthe ~$60 for a triple pillar and chunk mine? or make my own pod? or try to use something like this http://www.re-racing.com/storeindex.php?store=3268

I didn't want to mount them on the pillar so here's what I did.

 

I got the universal pod from genos for 20-25 bucks and stuck it on the side of my triple pillar. I would shop a round for a triple pillar, I thought they were cheaper than that. Check out dieselmanor.com. I think in the long run you would be happier with the triple pillar.

Look at cquestads pics, hes got one of an srt 10 single pilar with a guage added to the side, that is what I went by when I did mine but I already got the triple.

 

That set up looks very nice. love it.

 

thats what i was considering, you didnt like it? it seems like itd be hard to make look good. I'm thinking i may do a 2-gauge over rearview mount and do fuel and oil pressure. or maybe ill just wait a while. i just was kinda wanting a FP gauge so i could monitor the difference if i add a 2 mic filter (Glacier) after the stocker. I'm working on brewing my own bio and was thinking an extra filter is always good (given the solvent properties of bio)

 

I have the console 3 guage pod like MedicShawn, but I added more gauges. You can consider a single or double steering column pod.

 

I like it, I dont look bad, I like it better than the steerin columb pod but thats just my opinion. If you are goin for a factory look this aint it. I used the glue pad that was on the pod to stick it to my pillar, I am not sure if its gonna hold but I was in a hurry and didnt feal like takin the pillar off to drill holes and bolt it on.

A friend of mine owns a company that builds refer truck bodies, I may just get some better glue from him.

 

Someone alo makes a guage pod to go over your rearview mirror.
