Where can I find a S/S Exhaust Tip?

does anyone know where i can get a nice clamp on exhaust tip? i'm looking for something like a polished stainless steel tip. the bigger the better. i would also like to have one of the stainless clamps that i have seen on some of your trucks. i have a muffler elem pipe so i don't want a whole new exhaust.

thanks

britt

Genosgarage.com or you can try some of the vendors here like DPPI. The stainless clamps can be had at any truck supply shop for around $6-$8. I have a 5" clamp on stainless from Genos along with two 4" SS band clamps so the tip looks like its 20" long.....

this is probably a dumb question but do you have to cut off any of the stock tailpipe at the end to get a tip on it? i tried one from a auto store and it wouldn't work...

If you get a 4" tip you can slide it all the way on and you don't have to cut any of the tailpipe off. With my 5" tip if I didn't cut any of the tailpipe off you could see the 4" pipe inside the tip and it looked dumb! I cut about 8-10" off of my tailpipe.

Magnaflow has some nice stainless steel tips in varying lengths.....4" in & 5" out. Pics are in my gallery. Expect some extra cleaning of the rear quarter & bumper if you modify the angle alot.

Nice hood Greg.

Did you get that from the dealer? If you did, did you have to have it painted?

Thanks for all the replies guys!

Greg,

Please don't take offence to this question, just wondering.

Is that scoop on the hood an add-on to the existing stock hood? Or is it molded into an aftermarket hood? If so, what brand of hood is it.

Thanks

I bought a 4 in 5 out bolt on stainless steel tip on eBay for $24.99 + 7.50 shipping from http://www.WarpSpeedPerformance.com
It looks good and I thought the price was good also.

t-7 firefighter :
This is the primered version of the hood scoop I purchased from a Dodge dealer. You can, however, get them in the OEM colors of black, flame red, solar yellow, and bright silver metallic (these are from the Rumble Bee & Hemi-Sport trucks). Check this link for more info I posted on another site :

http://www.dodgetalk.com/forums/show...bee+hood+scoop

Big Bob :
It is an add-on to the existing hood....straight from MOPAR parts at your Dodge dealer.

We have some Silverline 304SS polished which are a double wall 5" tip and the clamp is part of the tip. These look really good and are resonably priced.
