Question wheels
does anyone know why the xd hoss fit in 17x9 and the xd diesel in 17x9 do not

I think its a clearance issue for the HD brakes diesels have.

so the xd diesel, in a 17x9, can't be used on 3rd gen ctd at all, or it will not fit with certain tire sizes?

I'm pretty sure it's due to a slightly different shape of the wheel ring. The Diesels won't fit over the brakes, but the Hoss do. I think some have made them fit by grinding the calipers.

i like the xd diesel due to the silver lip my truck is silver and the hoss mught look too black and have new tires in 17 inch

kind of ironic, that a wheel named 'diesel' won't fit on a diesel truck.
