When do you build boost when doing a power brake or boosted launch? I hit about 1500 RPM before I get 1psi.

 

That sounds awfully close to mine!!! When I go to the track, I have to start spooling when I light the top bulb and not light the second until I have 5-8psi then by the time the tree starts and I launch I can be at 12psi...

On another note I wonder if your TC is too tight for your turbo?? I have the same size turbo and a SUPER tight converter and mine lags around like yours does. I have been doing some comparison with SAMRTY tunes to find the sweet spot...PM me if you would like to know my initial findings...

 

I could not tell you. All I know is I launch at 18 PSI. I could care less what the engine rpm is. I watch my trans temp and boost when I launch. Then I switch to boost, egt and my foot on the floor
