what programmer to get?

So I have a question, this is my first start of a thread on this site so bear with me if it dosen't work. I just got my new Truck about 2 weeks ago. It is a brand spanking new 2006 2500 SLT Mega Cab CTD 4x4. I love it so far and I can't beleive the difference there is from my 04 qc 2500 4x4 Hemi. I have BFG 315/70/17 on the stock Aluminum rims on it. Other than that it is pretty much stock. My question (finally) is this. what is the best programer for my truck that I can take off and not viod my warranty if I have to take it into the dealership? I have been looking at the Edge w/ juice program and it looks like a really nice pkg. any in put would be appreciated. I am thinking all I want to do is intake, and programmer since I hear the factory exhust is more than adiquate. I have a Revtech 2" leveling kit to install on it and plan on getting the rear springs re-packed to lift it up another 2" to keep the factory stance just a little taller. Help a new brother out. what do you recomend?

The Smarty is the ONLY programmer that cant be detected by the dealer. It seems to be by far the best. You can really dial your truck in and new versions are available all the time. If you want big power and a warranty go Smarty.

I would say with the larger tires and lift kit your truck has, your warranty will be voided the first time you take it in for any repair.

From what I have read on this forum the factory frowns on any alteration on any part of the truck.

I have also read that any programmer is detectable but I personally have no proof of this statement.

You can do a search on "warranty" here and spend the rest of the day reading.

I'm sure that this is not what you are wanting to hear, but with a brand new 06 vehicle you need to know the consequences of any alterations.

I'm currently running a Quadzilla XZT 65 hp box on our Mega Cab & am very happy with it. Just enough extra grunt to make the truck fun & not have to worry about tearing things up. It can be installed & removed from the truck in about 10 minutes with NO permanent traces left on the truck & the product is priced right. We were running a Superchips Flashpaq tuner previously but had minor driveabilty surging problems & there have been reported problems with leaving traces on the computer & problems with reinstalling the stock program into the computer. If you have a problem with the programer your truck is down, if you use a box & have a problem just unplug it & keep driving with no traces left behind.

Yes, the factory exhaust is good, but the factory muffler is not. Replace it with a 4" straight-through muffler (Search for the many threads on mufflers), or a delete pipe. It will lower EGTs ~100*.

Can't beat a Smarty! And it will adjust your speedo for your oversized tires!

Smarty or TST are both safley removable when going back to the dealer but both have the ability to cause breakage if abused. But it gives decent power at the lower levels why in the world would anyone want to turn it up???
