I bought a smarty and when I plug it up it says V:4.10c D:BA421. Can anyone tell me what it is?

I don't recognize the other numbers as you have them listed.

Usually, it is listed by the letters and numbers... BD411... or 311 or 211 or 111 the differences being the TM levels. After that is the letter A or B or C or D that signifies which file: stock injectors/stock turbo; stock injectors/aftermarket turbo; aftermarket injectors/stock turbo; aftermarket injectors/aftermarket turbo...

are you sure you copied that right? Usually, new smarty's are loaded with stock injectors/stock turbo and mild TM unless you otherwise specify at time of purchase.

Are you sure? Does it match your 4.2 software file name? I bought the smarty from a individual off here and thats what it came with. It was brand new still in the box.. Is there anyway I can actually pull it off the smarty and save it to my truck?

 

no, unless you have it saved on your computer you will lose it if you change to another software off the mads site.

By the way, yes that matches the beta 4.2 software.

 

I just looked it up, Torque Beast is correct. It is the "newer" Beta 4.2.
I didn't recognize it off hand as I wouldn't think a brand new one would be shipped with a beta file unless you specifically asked ahead of time.

 

Oh, OK-- now I see you bought it from someone else.

You will lose it if you try to download something else. Just download the file to your truck on say sw3 to start and be very happy!
