Bob,
What are the differences between the original Smarty programming and the latest "Moderate TM programming". I have tried all 3 new versions and I like them all more than the original.

Please update your smarty to the newest version to keep it current.

Thank you

Happy,

Mine has some rattle too, on SW 5.

I got a chance to dyno my truck with it Friday at Diesel Innovations DHRA Nationals pre-party in Houston. 397 on level 5, no other mods. I don't have a torque number though as their sensor was broken.

I felt jipped on spending the money on the dyno with no TQ number, but I feel good about gaining 120hp (over stock) on the 90hp setting w/timing from the Smarty.

I was suprised to see the number too. I figured TexasCTD tranny would have started slipping.
I'm saving my money for a real dyno run....

Honestly, I don't know what version. I guess it is the lastest one. I bought the test smarty from a local dealer after running it on my truck a few days. It was either send him back the Smarty or send a check. I couldn't let it go. It was very addicting.

I have just started trying some other settings. On the way home from Houston Sunday, I had changed to setting 1 which is 30hp +timing and kept my cruise set at 70mph. I got 18mpg hand calculated. Definately more power than stock but not near as fun as level 5.

I just tonight, loaded level 7 but im being real careful with it. Seemed very very peppy but I can't compare it yet to level 5. Need a little more time.

MikeyB....So far I haven't had any tranny slip that I have noticed. Trans is holding up great at least so far. You saw the dyno sheet. Thanks for taking the pics while I was on the rollers.

My assessment to anybody that asks.....is the Smarty rocks. Get it!

haha i know what program is in TexasCTD's truck. I had that very same smarty in my truck for a long weekend.

the program is Mild Torque Management. Robert if i was you i would put the stock torque management program in there to save the tranny the best you can.

Are you sure it was the same Smarty? I thought you didn't get it, because I had it and never let it go..... And, that you got the next one that Bob sent to James.

I am a little bit confused on this Tq mgnt stuff. What is the difference between mild and stock as it relates to that? Is that the different choices available based on what version of Smarty you have?

I am not to worried about my trans right now. It is holding up fine. I am not being abusive to my truck at all. No starting from stop WOT. I pamper it until im moving a little, and even then I have my eye on my fuel pressure gauge. EGTs have not been an issue at all.

Look at the software version # when you plug the smarty in. If it ends in -202B its the mild TM, -102B is stock TM, and I dont remember what the original version was, but the -303B is the revised original version w/ switch#5 problem fixed. Bob will chime in w/ the exacts.

TexasCTD,
Are you still running the Rokktech at full advance with the #5 setting?
