Westin Platinum Series Step Bars

going to see a local guy who's usually pretty good on prices, but I want to have some #'s before I go in. I've seen some prices looking around online with the chrome plated version going for ~ $420 shipped. Can anyone recommend an online source for these?

I can do the Westin Platnium/Chrome plated bars for Edit delivered and insured..... I have Plenty in stock and can get them on the way the day you order them.

I also have Westin Platnium's on my truck (but the black powdercoated ones). GREAT fit and very strong. I stand on them all the time to do my windshield and wash/wax the roof (the sides anyway).

I think capnp72 has the Black Platnium bars instead, makes a large difference in the price....

PM for price

No Sam, I have the chrome ones. I checked every single website I could find them on and went with the cheapest price.

Thanks for the input, guys. I called my local guy after a friend of mine told me he could get me a discount at the local shop. He even called the owner and told him I'd be in touch. I called and ended up getting the bars I mentioned and an Access Rollup Cover.

Thanks for the offer, Sam.

Let me first say that I'm sorry for posting a price instead of saying to PM me. Prices were being discussed, and I'm not sure what the difference is when I give one out in reference to a question vs. when someone else does it in telling where and how much they bought for........

I have no doubt you have chrome steps capnp72. But I'm pretty sure you have the chrome-plated Signature series steps (mild steel) vs. the chrome-plated Platmium series (which are stainless steel) given the price you bought for.

I've ordered Westin Platinum Nerfs for my '05 Ram 3500. I've been observing that a lot of nerfs (not brand specific) I see are so close to the rocker panel that it appears to me only your toe would fit on the bar - is this true of the Westin Platinum nerfs? And, is there some kind of "lowering" kit to drop the bar lower so you can actually step on with your foot - not just your toe! TIA, Rob

I have this set on my 05. I just measured, and from the rear doors edge to the step pad, it's 2 3/8th inch. It's 2.5 "'s from the drivers door edge to the step pad. I haven't been though a winter yet, so I can't tell you if that space pinches my boot. I don't think it will.

There are a couple of distance pics of them in my gallery.

I have the Westin CPS step bars on my 04. They still look like new after one winter and two summers of surffishing. Check my gallery.
