I'm thinking about adding the ste Westin Steps to my truck. I want the chrome so they match the truck. My question is what is the difference between the regular chrome step bars and the Platinum model chrome step bars?? Any help is appreciated. If there is a better step them the Westin I'll take suggestions.

I've had the shiny stainless Westins on my truck for well over a year now and they are still bright and shiny. Can't remember what model they were/are. I bought the stainless ones because I figured they'd wear better than chrome plated versions.

 

Go with the platinum westins.I have had 2 sets of bars.One on a 1999 ford & a set on my 2004 ram.They are great quality bars.coobie

The platinum ones are chromed stainless intead of plain steel. I'd go with the platinum especially since you are from CT. I've had them on my 2nd gen. for about 2 years and they are easy to install and have held up great.
