Why don't you expend your energy on coming up with a short shifter instead?!?!?!?!

Looks good but by the time you have finished it seems that you have defeated your whole purpose.....

I actually have been looking at that...it should be pretty simple...but I think it may take a CNC to make it "right"

It looks great but it looks like it lost a lot of weight since you first made it and the weight was what you were wanting.

It just might push the Getrag-heap over the edge, but fortunately Mark's installed one on the shifter of his G56 - which is a stout tranny Mercedes has been using in the medium truck market for several years.

OK Scooter - if you don't have XP Tweak UI - then you don't have the right-click menu's Image Resizer option.

Don't leave home (page) without it!

BTW - it's a freebie

Don't feel bad - I'm just a Neanderthal with too many degrees.

As long as we have opposable thumbs and the ability to reason, we're good to go!

- now, if I only had that extra thigh muscle....

Is this what you're talking about? I heated it with an oxy/acetylene torch, and bent it in a vice. Ended up welding in about a 6" piece of 5/8" stock as well, to get the heighth back. The whole project started because the stock shifter hit the Geno's cupholder after I added the custom subwoofer enclosure (center seat).

Bringing this back from the dead, any updates? My clutch has slowed my shifts considerably, wouldn't mind this at all.

Ditto. I couldn't dare race anyone with my current setup. Almost makes me wish I'd have gotten an auto. I can't physically move my arm fast enough if I were to race.
