Just make it the same size as gear shifter and save some extra troubles. Aren't the stockers the same size?

Well? Do you think that would work?-------- One for me too.

I can do that.....I think smaller would look better...but what ever you guys think is fine.....since ALL the originators did not want patterns...I only had 2 made with them...the price WILL be more for the patterns.......I will stop by the machine shop tomorrow and have a few more made with G56 shift patterns.....BTW smaller transfer-case *****=lower price...are the T-case threads the same as the gear shifter???mine is a megacab so no 4X4 lever....
let me know what you guys like....

If you think it'd look better with a smaller **** on t-case that sounds good to me, I'm changing my vote especially since it reduces cost.

just got a call from the machine shop today, he told me he went to order the SS and it had X3 in price vs mild steel since last time he ordered!!!!!
so I told him hold off and I would have to talk to you guys.
I found out from the powder coater today that I can get a heavy duty clear powder coat put on the mild steel and it would/should hold up really well.....he seemed pretty confident it would hold up very well so I will take his word on it...
304SS **** without shift pattern would be=$140.85 shipped an where in the US
mild steel/no gear pattern with any color powder coating=$99.85 shipped any where in the US
engraved gear shift pattern is $5 added to the prices above.

I really apologize for the misunderstanding the machine shop guy felt really bad too.
I think that shipped price includes international..but I need to check again to make sure.

let me know what you guys think cause as of right now the ***** are on hold till I here what you all think?

Sorry and thanks guys

304 has been 3X the $ of carbon for years...

There isn't much weight in the *****, so material choice shouldn't effect price too much (2# **** is a few bucks in carbon, $10 in SS).

Maybe most of the machinist's price is tied up in labor & tooling allowance?

See if he'll quote them in free-machining 303 SS - the sulphur breaks up the tough, stringy chips that makes nickel-bearing alloys a PITA to mill.

not sure why the weight would would have any thing to do with the price...buying a stick of 2.1/8" mild steel is 3x less then buying the same length 304ss thats why the price goes up...like you said the weight is not a big deal so the ***** would be cut the same size either way no matter what material was used.

303ss is almost the same price and they where worried it might still show some rust spots......
of course the labor is expensive..it always is...no matter if it is labor on your truck. building a fence...what ever it is the labor is usually more then the part.

I would love to have one for my 5sp shifter and my 4x shifter, I would get the one that is engraved with the patterns though. The 5-sp is a standard pattern using 1,2,3,4,5 and R and the 4x is like this...

2H I
....I
4H I___
..........I
.......N I
..........I
....4LO I

Not the best but I think you get the picture right? Haha
