water/methane injection
Does anyone use water/methane injection? Does it work well ? Or is there something better to use? I have a 2004 6 speed with 6 inch stacks and run bullydog power pup and the edge juice with attitude and i can easliy push 1400-1600 degrees. I pulled a 30 ft race car trailer the other day and a pushed 1400 with just the power pup on tow which is 70 horse. thanks for the help

Water injection will help but when towing its best to keep everything turned down to keep the egt's down. If your getting it that hot and staying there for long periods its probably only a matter of time before you blow a head gasket. I use water injection on my truck but can't really give you much info on it because I only use my truck for competition. Water injection will keep you truck a lot cooler but if your going on long towing trips you will have to have a pretty decent size water tank or you will be stopping and filling it up quite often.

With that 04, you want to be really cautious about running at 1400*!! You will drop a valve seat!
That said, it really looks like you need a turbo upgrade first like rpainter said above. Fill out your sig so we know what you have and are better able to help you.
Water/meth systems will help with egts, but is not a cure all. You can expect to see from a 100* drop up to a 150-200* drop max. And you can go through a lot of water. I use a 7 gallon tank and went through half of it on six passes of the 1/4 mile.

H2O/Meth
I run the Snow Performance kit and it helps to lower the EGT maybe 75-100 degrees when towing. Quad the manufacturer of my performance box used to recommend a maximum of 30 HP switch position when towing, I'm not sure about the newer generation boxes. One problem is methanol is very corrosive in any concentration so make sure you turn of the spray several minutes to clear the intake track of all the methanol.
