watch your egt,s
or your pistons will look like this. and your valves will look like that. 67000 miles and its time to build a new one. cylinder walls are completly shot and all 6 pistons are burnt to a crisp. amazingly the truck still ran though. just not very good.

Holy cow...... when you say pyro only went to 1500, do you mean that's the highest reading you can SEE or that's only the highest it went?
Also, did this happen all at once or did things get a little worse as time wore on.
That is ALOT of damage. Never heard of all six biting the big one at once. Sorry.

no warrenty on this one. the gauge only went to 1500 and when it would hit it would take a couple of seconds to come off the 1500 spot i imagine they were toasty. this happened in about a month span. lots of duration was the main cause and some valve seats dropped on the exhaust side. truck was making 800 hp when it was turned up and running well in to the 11's. i will put a 12 valve in the truck so anything in my sig is for sale.

Ok, aside from the answer being "racing", is there any reason you'd run her that hot without doing something about it? (water injection maybe or a small shot of nitrous)...

wow... lots of mayham there ! Man, if you'd have only done this a couple weeks ago.... My build is very close to what you have and I could have bought 75% of your sig :-)
sorry to hear about the damage but, you sound like you can't wait to be in a 12V anyway.
