Warranty Voided turbo timer
I have install things like gauges, bypass filter, and fuel filter to protect my investment. None of those things would contribute to a properly operating system having failures. In fact, the second reason for their existance is because of the already existing problems that many are having, preventative and diagnostic considerations are behind them. I'm glad I have a good attorney and I hope I do not ever have to use the legal side of things to get what I paid for in the pricing of what I bought. I can honestly say that DC will loose my future business if I have to go through any of that stuff and they will have a legal battle right back at them, up front and personal if they try to void my warranty over these things. There are many who have used the legal card and that ended the warranty issues. I wonder how many Mexicans BUY their trucks and cars?

I have the gauges and the dealer mentioned then once. But only after they fixed my problem, Now the truck was just there for a leaking injection pump. Never another word, It did take DC three days for an approval for a new injection pump. Of course now the injection pumps are on backorder. My Point? Find another dealer. I didn't even buy my truck from them. The only other thing that I let them do is the trans service every 25K (currently 50K). It costs a few bucks extra but At least when they look me up in the puter I'm a paying customer.
I haven't seen anyone reference the Magnuson-Moss Act that pertains to warranties. It is a Federal law and pertains to all warranties. It's pretty "wordy", but worth having a little knowledge when dealing with your friendly car/truck dealer. Here is the link:

Don't be so sure. You start mod'ing your toyota and you will get the same dealer voiding issues.
Have a friend with a 99 Tacoma with a Dealer installed TRD gen 1 supercharger. That motor diesels more than my CTD!, yet the dealer will do nothing to help him. He tried taking it to another dealer and they would not even touch do to the "aftermarket" turbo (Yes they call the TRD supercharger a Turbo). He has gone through two sets of CATs, 1 MAF, other various sensors, etc on HIS dime.
Even my wife's highlander V6 (non Hybrid) is no where near bug free. You should feel that thing hunt for gears; the heated seats still dont work after being replaced 2 times and getting a free rip in the leather as a result; cup holder retainer constantly breaks; Ebrake cannot hold the car on a hill by itself.
I can just imagine if toyota comes out with a medium or light duty diesel motor for the Tundra. Then people will want to mod it. Then the dealers will want to void the warrenty.
I will agree that Toyota's quality over all is better, but let's not pretend they walk on water.
"difference is, toyotas never have to go back to the dealer......hahaha"
I don't know where you guys are finding the lemons...but I have 200k between two 3rd Gen Dodges sitting right outside my window and they have never had to go to the dealer either?
I would never drive a Toyota...diesel or not. The doors don't even "feel" right when you shut them. Now...if VW, Audi, Porsche, Mercedes, or BMW makes a diesel truck someday, I would consider. LOL

You're welcome. Am I getting it that you removed the TT and it is still throwing the codes? If that's true, NOW go back to the dealership and tell them you removed the TT . . the vehicle is back to stock . . fix the problem BECAUSE IT IS THEIR PROBLEM and your warranty should cover it without any further discusion or the next discussion will be with your attorney.
Also, DC has a hotline, get on it. Tell them what's going on, also tell them that your State has an Attorney Generals Office, you next step will be to file a complaint with them and seek an investigation, formal one at that. Let DC know who you are . . and what you are prepared to do, both with your State Gov and a private attorney. I'd be willing to bet that they will take notice and correct your issues.
DC knows that dealerships install this stuff, and like Keyser Soze says - his dealership installed his - will they give him the same BS if something's not right? Probably not. I do think the TT's are having problems on the 2006 and up models specifically, but it is with the fuel system.
I hope you get your issue resolved to your satisfaction. Of course, you do know about the lemmon laws already, but I think they will not push you that far as they already know you will go the distance, previous experience speaks loudly to them. Since this isn't the first time, also let them know that you will not be looking to settle things their way, you will be looking into other laws that may apply to the treatment you personally have had to endure.

I never understand why they have a big deal with TT it states in Owners Manual to let your truck Idle after hard runs. The TT is doing the job for you that DC wanted down in the first place.
Back again
Truck popped an engine code again!! this after the turbo timer was removed was very cold ,5 degrees out, will call dealership today and this time going to let them know fix it or I am getting an attorney. Warranty was reinstated couple days ago back to factory bone stock.now its there problem.I know what the problem is grid heater doesnt cycle long enough but they want listen ,lets see if they can find an excuse to void my warranty again..really getting fed up with these people..
