I'm pushing around 7000 miles. So far, so good...Plus I added a 2 micron filter after the stock filter and an 85micron pre-Walbro filter. Still seeing 19-20psi at idle.

I think I have a pic in cummins forum. Its just an 85 micron screen type inline filter from Jegs or Summit. About 30 bucks if I remember correctly. You can take it apart and clean the screen and reuse.

I used a fairly cheap Jegs brand billet inline, I think it filters down to 40 micron and has -06AN fittings. Either I have been lucking out and getting clean fuel, or all the particles have been less than 40 micron because I just checked it the other day and it was still clean. This is with maybe 5k miles on it.

I believe this is the one. Jegs Pre-Filter

Hey Trik, what 2 micron filter are you using? I am using the Cat with a Perma-Cool filter head, but the head isn't quite big enough and it leaks a tad. After a few hours of driving you can see a couple drops accumulate on the bottom of the filter, it's not enough to coat the bottom of the truck, but still annoying. Just curious as to what you are using.

Give Glacier Diesel a call...he has a head that works great with Fleetguard filters.

filters

what about using something like a RACOR 490 diesel spin on filter.. rated for 90GPH (341 L) has a electric bowl heater - clear see water drain bowl - 3 micron filtering - (not sure but I think you can get a 5/7 if wanted ?? - at least on others).. good for 30 PSI.. just adjust the bypass for around there??

gives you better filtering
have heat if needed
have see-em drain bowl
